Apostle Eric G. McCoy is a graduate of Atlantic City High, ACIT, Jameson School of Ministry, Garden State Bible Institute, and Berean School of Ministry. He is also a veteran, honorably discharged from the United States Marines after six years of service. While in the Marines, he received the rank of sergeant during the Vietnam conflict and was involved with the evacuation of Saigon in 1975.

The founder and pastor of God Is Reaching Out Ministries for 25 years, Apostle McCoy operates a sober living facility, which is sanctioned by the NJ Sober Living Association. Our ministry is also a registered member of Feed America, a ministry that feeds those in need seven days a week.

Apostle McCoy has received many community awards and citations, and he volunteers as a chaplain for AtlantiCare, the AC Board of Education, and the N.J. Dept. of Correction, and the lead chaplain for the Atlantic City Police Dept. and Fire Dept.

Apostle McCoy is the past president of the Fellowship of Churches. He helped raise funds for a gun buyback program, and as a result, the Coalition for Safe Community was formed. Also under his leadership, a voter booth was placed in St. James Church to familiarize individuals
with a voting booth before going to the polls. This was an initiative of his Political Action Committee.

Apostle McCoy has been the owner of Eric’s Auto Body for 39 years. He was married to his loving wife Sheree McCoy (deceased) for 48 years and is the father of three children, seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
